Met Gala Dress

Designed and constructed a dress for the 2026 Met Gala Press Preview for Allison Knoll.

Fitting the theme “Fashion is Art”, the print for the dress was inspired by the “Rayographs” of Man Ray. The fabric was engineered using cyanotype dye on colored silk and was executed in collaboration with Bianca Farrow.

The form of the dress was inspired by the body-conscious, bias cut silhouettes of Man Ray contemporary, Madeleine Vionnet. The dress is modular and can be bustled at the side to play with length and color.
